Aiden broke the Clean record in the 221-249 weight class with a lift of 280 lbs. The previous record was held by Jason Witthaus.

Teacher Appreciation Week 💙✏️✨
Yesterday was another reminder of just how grateful we are for our incredible GCR-1 staff — not only this week, but every single day. Your compassion, flexibility, and dedication to our students never go unnoticed.
Our teachers and staff once again showed the heart of GCR-1 by stepping up and putting students first in every way possible — even quietly sharing the appreciation lunch that had been prepared for them.
We are so thankful for a staff that leads with kindness, serves with grace, and consistently goes above and beyond for our students and school community.
Thank you to every member of our GCR-1 family for all you do each and every day.

Dear GCR-1 Families,
I want to make you aware of a situation that occurred today at Hermann High School involving a threat. At approximately 10:45 a.m., the district received a threat that required us to take immediate action to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Earlier this week, we were notified by state agencies that hoax threats were circulating and that schools should be on the lookout for them in the coming days and weeks. This information was shared with building-level administration. When the threat was received, we immediately began implementing our established safety protocols and engaged with local law enforcement.
Students at Hermann High School were evacuated, and the campus was closed. With the support of local law enforcement and officers from the Capitol Police, we were able to determine that it was safe to return to the building.
Classes resumed as normal, and students continued on their regular schedule. Additionally, counseling and support services will be available for any students who may need them.
Staff and student safety are our top priorities at Gasconade County R-1. We are fortunate to have the support of the Hermann Police Department, the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Department, and the Capitol Police.
Today was, and may continue to be, a scary and potentially traumatic experience for students and staff. If your student needs assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to building-level counselors or administration.

Congratulations to Nolan Kopp for being named a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete.
Nolan plans to attend The University of Tennessee-Knoxville and major in nuclear engineering and materials science.
HMS 8th graders enjoyed their trip to the Cardinals game yesterday afternoon. Although the Cardinals didn't bring home a win, our students had a ton of fun!

Our 3rd graders worked hard during the testing season and celebrated in the BEST way possible… by "pie-facing" Mrs. Brune! 😂 What a fun reward for all of their effort and determination!
And our daycare students were treated to something extra special thanks to our amazing daycare provider, who created this incredible “El Toro Loco” monster truck completely by hand! The creativity, detail, and excitement it brought to our little learners was absolutely unforgettable. 🔥
