This year, we were proud to have 16 schools participate in our Special Olympics event. Seeing so many students come together to compete, encourage one another, and celebrate their achievements made this year truly special. We are excited to continue growing this program and hope to welcome even more schools in the years ahead!
We would also like to thank all of the students who helped organize events and showed their enthusiasm and encouragement for their assigned buddies throughout the day. Your support, positivity, and school spirit helped make this event even more meaningful for everyone involved!
GCR-1 extends a VERY special thank you to Missy Ash for organizing this amazing event for the past 15 years. Her dedication, hard work, and passion for our students have made a lasting impact on countless lives. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done to make this program such a success. This was only the second year for the statewide event — and the first time Hermann students participated. We are proud to announce they placed 1st out of approximately 15 schools across Missouri! 🎉
As a result of their outstanding performance, the chapter received a new miter saw, and each student earned several tools and prizes, including new welding helmets.
Congratulations to these students and Mr. Ridder on an incredible accomplishment! 👏
We are so proud of our kindergarten students for all they have learned, accomplished, and experienced throughout this school year. Thank you to our families, staff, and community for supporting these young learners as they continue to grow and shine.
Congratulations, Kindergarten Class of 2026 — your future is bright! 🌟🍎

We are proud of all you have accomplished during your middle school years and cannot wait to see all you achieve in high school. Enjoy this exciting milestone and celebrate all of your hard work!
Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat!

Over the past two years, these students have dedicated countless hours to developing culinary skills and industry knowledge. Along the way, they earned ServSafe certifications, successfully passed both Level 1 and Level 2 exams, and completed more than 400 hours of mentored culinary experiences in Hermann, MO.
Grace Engemann will attend St. Louis Community College to study Baking & Pastry and Business, with hopes of opening her own bake shop one day. The ProStart certification has given her a strong foundation in both culinary skills and professional kitchen experience as she works toward that goal.
Alaina Heaney will attend the University of Missouri to pursue a career as a speech pathologist or kindergarten teacher. While her future career path may be outside the culinary industry, this certification will help her continue gaining valuable work experience and earning potential through hospitality jobs while in college.
Congratulations, Grace and Alaina! We are excited to see where your hard work, leadership, and passion take you next.
