As our students head back to school tomorrow, our buses are back on the roads! This year, we also want to bring extra attention to the increased number of large trucks traveling throughout our area.
With school buses, large trucks, morning commuters, and students all sharing our roadways, please slow down, stay alert, and allow extra time for your morning and afternoon commutes.
🚛 Give large trucks plenty of space and stay out of their blind spots.
🛑 Always stop for school buses with flashing red lights and an extended stop sign.
👀 Watch carefully for students entering or crossing the roadway.
📵 Put the phone down and keep your attention on the road.
More traffic means we all need to use a little extra patience and caution. Please help us keep our students, bus drivers, truck drivers, and community safe as we begin another school year! 💙🐾

As we prepare to welcome our students back on Tuesday, August 25, please take a moment to review the door opening and start times for each building.
⏰ We can’t wait to see our students and kick off another great school year!

If you have any questions about the school district’s response, please contact Geoff Neill at 573-486-2116. EXT 1300

Bus routes for the 2026–2027 school year are relatively the same as the end of last school year. You can find the updated routes on our district website using the following link:

On behalf of the GCR1 staff and students, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who supported our Backpack Program!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to every individual, family, business, and organization who participated—whether by making an individual donation, hosting an event to collect monetary donations or supplies, or simply spreading the word about this important program.
Because of your generosity, our students are being set up for success not only at the beginning of the school year, but throughout the entire year! Your kindness and support make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and families.
A HUGE THANK YOU also goes to Mackenzie Krull for generously offering back-to-school haircuts during our supply pick-up day! What a wonderful way to give back and help our students feel confident and ready to start the school year. ✂️💙
