Hermann FCCLA National Leadership Conference competitors recently participated in a Pastry Arts Technical Decorating mentorship session led by Little Bay Cakes. During the visit, students received hands-on instruction and valuable feedback as they prepared for the National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.
The Pastry Arts Technical Decorating event challenges competitors to complete a client-requested sample board in just 30 minutes, demonstrating professional decorating techniques, precision, creativity, and presentation skills. With a special focus on creating buttercream roses, students practiced a variety of industry-standard decorating methods while learning tips and techniques from experienced professionals.
Hermann FCCLA extends its sincere appreciation to Little Bay Cakes for investing their time, expertise, and encouragement in our students. Community partnerships like these provide meaningful real-world learning experiences and help prepare our competitors for success on the national stage.

Hermann FCCLA officers recently spent the first days of summer preparing for an exciting year ahead at their annual Officer Retreat! 🎉
Officers Elliot Geers, Marissa Parr, Layla Frost, and Milo Lammert focused on leadership development, team building, chapter planning, and setting goals that will help guide Hermann FCCLA throughout the upcoming school year. They also gained valuable real-world experience by planning, shopping for, and preparing meals on a budget—all while enjoying some fun lake time together! ☀️🚤
A huge thank you to the Maczuk family and Monica for generously opening their beautiful lake home and providing the perfect setting for collaboration, growth, and connection. We also appreciate our dedicated officers and advisers for investing their time and energy into making this retreat a success.
