🎉 Hermann High School FCCLA Shines at Region 5 STAR Events! 🎉
Hermann High School FCCLA joined 185 members from across Region 5 at Rolla Technical Institute for the annual Regional STAR Events Competition and Regional Officer Elections & Installation.
Students competed in STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition), presenting projects that showcased leadership, career readiness, and chapter involvement. Projects were evaluated by dedicated industry professionals and community volunteers. This year’s contest coordinator was Region Vice President Josie Neill (Hermann).

🥇 Grace Engemann – 1st Place, Baking & Pastry, Level 3 — State Bound
🥇 Taylor Lauer – 1st Place (Score: 98), Career Investigation, Level 3 — State Bound
🥇 Milo Lammert & Lizzie Cook – 1st Place (Score: 99), Chapter in Review Portfolio, Level 2 — State Bound
🥇 DeLaney Williams – 1st Place (Score: 99), Chapter Service Project, Level 3 — State Bound
🥇 Elliot Geers – 1st Place, Food Innovations, Level 2 — State Bound
🥉 Layla Frost – 3rd Place, Teaching Strategies, Level 3
In addition to competing, students participated in regional and state officer elections by delivering speeches and answering situational questions. While Hermann did not have candidates running this year, the elections and installation ceremony were led by Region President Taylor Lauer (Hermann).
Throughout the day, members prepared for competitions, connected with friends, and took part in engaging activities led in part by Josie Neill.
We are grateful for our students, advisors, judges, volunteers, and the Regional Executive Council for making this event such a success. The day truly showcased the leadership, confidence, and dedication of FCCLA members across Region 5. 💙❤️
