The Gasconade County R-1 Board of Education has selected Keely Uthlaut as the next coach of the boy's and girl's cross country programs. Since 2018 Coach Uthlaut has served as an assistant to Coach Josh Morris who announced his resignation in March.
Coach Uthlaut is a graduate of Iowa City City High School. She attended Northwest Missouri State University for 2 years and ran XC and Track. Uthlaut transferred to and graduated from the University of Missouri.
Coach Uthlaut and her husband to Ernst , a Hermann graduate, have 3 children, Amelia, Elaina, and Lance and live north of Hermann.
Coach Uthlaut brings experience and personal success to this new position. She is an accomplished athlete who has transitioned into a wonderful coach. Coach Uthlaut said, "I am excited to continue to build our program with these great athletes, coaches and families. "
GCR-1 Athletic Director Todd Anderson said about the hire, "Coach Uthlaut has been an integral part of the cross country program for the last six years.
