Gasconade County R-1 School District Board of Education has approved the hire of Mr. Joshua Schwenck as the next Middle School Assistant Principal, effective August 1, 2024. Mr. Schwenck will replace Mr. Andrew Emmons, who was named the HHS Principal, effective July 1, 2024.
Mr. Schwenck is originally from Fenton, MO; he has lived in Hermann since 2007 when he joined Hermann Middle School as a Social Studies Teacher. He transferred to the High School in 2019 where he taught until May of 2023. In addition to teaching, he was the Assistant Football Coach for 16 years. Schwenck also brings recent administrative experience as an Assistant Middle School Principal with the Montgomery County R-2 School District.
Mr. Schwenck holds a Bachelor’s Degree from William Woods University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia.
Mr. Schwenck and his wife Mary Beth, who serves as the Hermann Middle School Counselor, are proud parents of two daughters, Kennedy and Ella. He enjoys spending time with family, running, reading and sports.
