In order to be a Substitute Teacher in our district, we must have a completed job application, a background fingerprint check, 20+ college hours (as of August 2020) and a substitute teaching certificate from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).  

Gasconade County R-I School District offers the following sub teacher pay:

Daily:

$95 per day for substitute teachers with 20+ college hours
$110 per day for a Bachelors level college degree 
$120 per day for a Bachelors level college degree and a Missouri Teaching Certificate

Long Term (begins 11th consecutive day):

$105 per day for substitute teachers with 20+ college hours   
$120 per day for a Bachelors level college degree 
$130 per day for a Bachelors level college degree and a Missouri Teaching Certificate

On the first day, new sub teachers are asked to complete payroll/tax paperwork and submit copies of I-9 identity documentation (such as passport or driver's license and social security card).
