In the fall of 2007, Hermann High School began the process to seek designation from DESE as an A+ School. The Class of 2010 was the first HHS graduates eligible for A+ reimbursement. All students are eligible to sign up for the A+ Program (must sign up by the end of the first semester of your senior year) if they meet the requirements listed below.
A+ Program Overview The A+ Program was started by the Outstanding Schools Act of 1993 as an incentive for improving Missouri's high schools. Goals of the A+ Program -All students graduate high school -All students complete high school studies that are challenging and that have identified learner expectation -All students proceed from high school to college, post-secondary vocational/technical school, or a high wage job Participating High Schools are encouraged to: -Reduce the drop out rate -Raise academic expectations by eliminating general track courses -Provide career pathways for all students -Work closely with business and educational leaders to better prepare students for their lives after graduation Student Eligibility:

Students who meet or exceed these requirements will be eligible for two years of tuition reimbursement at a Missouri public community college or vocational/technical school. A student is eligible to access the A+ funds for 4 years after their graduation date. The funds are meant to reimburse eligible students for unpaid tuition and general fees after any federal aid has already been applied.
